NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SECTOR SCHEMES 12A/B INTRODUCTORY COURSE

A course for operatives involved with the installation and maintenance of temporary traffic management on motorways and high speed dual carriageways, who are required to be registered in accordance with the quality assurance requirements of the Highways Agency. (As set out in the National Highways Sector Scheme for Temporary Traffic Management - static works). 


NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SECTOR SCHEMES 12A/B FOREMANS COURSE
A course for experienced foremen involved with the installation and maintenance of temporary traffic management on motorways and high-speed dual carriageways, who are required to be registered in accordance with the quality assurance requirements of the Highways Agency. (As set out in the National Highways Sector Scheme for Temporary Traffic Management - static works). 


NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SECTOR SCHEME 12C MOBILE LANE CLOSURE – OPERATIVE
The course is of two days' duration consisting of approximately 12 hours instruction and exercises with the trainees, inclusive of feedback, but is excluding breaks Candidates who pass the initial training will be issued with a logbook and be assessed carrying out the activities listed in that logbook. There are three assessments, each carried out by a qualified 12C instructor/assessor and at an interval of not less than 2 weeks apart.

NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SECTOR SCHEME 12C MOBILE LANE CLOSURE – SUPERVISOR

The course is of two days' duration consisting of approximately 12 hours' instruction and exercises with the trainees, inclusive of feedback, but is excluding breaks Candidates who pass the initial training will be issued with a logbook and be assessed carrying out the activities listed in that logbook. There are three assessments, each carried out by a qualified 12C instructor/assessor and at an interval of not less than 2 weeks apart.


IMPACT PROTECTION VEHICLE DRIVER
(1 day programme) including practical assessment on hard shoulders. The course is of one-day duration consisting of approximately 7 hours' instruction and exercises with the trainees, inclusive of feedback.


NATIONAL HIGHWAYS SECTOR SCHEMES 12D - T7 FOR SPECIFIERS & OTHER PERSONNEL
This course is intended for all levels of Management, Client Officers, Technicians and any person not actually installing Temporary Traffic Management (TTM), but requiring a knowledge of basic practice of TTM on urban and rural roads. The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the necessary underpinning knowledge of temporary traffic management and the design procedures used for this within Highway Authorities, Contractors. Also for other organisations who require a knowledge of current basic practices as well as minimum legal requirements (where they apply). 


NHSS 12D - INSTALLING, MAINTAINING AND REMOVAL OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ON RURAL AND URBAN ROADS
This Sector Scheme has been introduced by the Highways Agency to promote a national standard for the management of temporary traffic management and the training of personnel in the industry. It augments the Sector Scheme for temporary traffic management work on high speed trunk roads and motorways. The scope of the Sector Scheme includes all single carriageway roads and dual carriageways with a speed limit up to and including 40 mph. 

REGISTERED LEAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OPERATIVE - T6 (RLTMO)
This course is intended for Registered Traffic Management Operatives (RTMO) as described in NHSS Document 12D, who wish to become a Registered Lead Traffic Management Operative (RLTMO). The aim of the course is to provide candidates with the necessary underpinning technical knowledge and skill to supervise a gang (or gangs) 

TRAFFIC SAFETY & CONTROL OFFICER (TSCO)
A course for those who are working towards their Sector Scheme 12A TSCO card in accordance with the Highways Agency quality assurance requirements set out in the National Highways Sector Scheme for Temporary Traffic Management (Static Works).
